Captive- raised crows重新放回野生环境不成功，有三个原因:

1. Their vulnerability to predators. Captive-raised crows如果回到野生环境当中，会很容易被

它们的捕食者，比如hawks,给捕获;

2. They have difciltly in building nests to reproduce. Female birds在筑巢的过程中总是会受

到male birds的打扰;

3. The eggs cannot be hatched.在最近的一次尝试当中 ，第1次生乌鸦宝宝的female bird

下蛋之后照顾很久，蛋也没有孵化。.

Listening

1. captive-raised crows can be trained to avoid predators.有两种方法可以训练它们:第- -,

可以播放hawks捕猎的recordings或是wamning cries of crows;第二，可以给它们看真实的

hawks是怎么捕猎的;

2. Researchers 已经找到筑巢时male birds disturb female birds的原因了: crows是social

birds,也就意味着它们习惯于互相interact,但是captive raised birds are in isolation,所以

female birds在野外筑巢的时候，male birds 会去打扰。如果把female 和male birds养在一

起，就不会出现这种情况了，

3.没有办法hatch the eggs的主要原因并不是这些captive raised crows的问题，而是这些

eggs本身就是infertile的。这是因为female birds是在unsuccessul mating之后下的蛋。在

最近的尝试当中，放生的crows都是frstime parents, 对于frst-time parents 来说，itis

common to fail. 如果它们多尝试几次，-定可以成功交配并且产下fertile eggs that can be

hatched.

Task2

Job sharing means that 2 partime workers share the work, hours and income. Job sharing

helps workers with their ownresponsibilities, such as those who want to study or those who

need flexible working time, to do their own things. Do you agree that job sharing is good for

workers? Why?
